Day 7 - recap

No updates today ... Until now.

Was up early, around 6:30 - to walk around this beautiful vineyard and the grounds. Amazing views of Tuscan hills and other wineries - amazing. Completely stunning.

Had a few cappucino on the terrace overlooking the valley - peaceful - heaven on earth.

Took a dip, quickly, in the (freezing cold) infinity pool ... And then to the jacuzzi. Deciding on doing a cooking class here in the cucina - for lunch ... Which was 6 courses ... Again - LUNCH ... SIX courses. met 2 other couples, both American ... One from Colorado and one from Georgia (yes, he's been to the Masters a number of times). They were older, but older people can be fun too!! After the cooking - it was time to enjoy the fruits of our labour. It all turned out beautifully (photos to come later - along with the specific foods we cooked).

After this, we decided to take a quick drive around Tuscany ... I drove ... Standard ... 4th time in my life. We somehow ended up driving the wrong way, but I didn't want to (read: know how to) stop and turn around, so we just kept going! Eventually hit a traffic circle (to which, I believe my exact words were ... OHHHH F**KKKKKKKKK). Still alive though. All good.

Then the torrential downpour hit - so back to the villa.

Another Jacuzzi, a little turkish bath - and now at the wine bar enjoying the 2007 Mona Lisa Reserva. Why is it called 'mona lisa'? ... Because Mona was born (wait for it) HERE!! At Villa Vignamaggio!! Amazing.

Off to a simple meal at the wine bar/restaurant here ... A few more bottles of vino and likely walk around in the eveing - sipping in every last bit of perfection this place has to offer.

What a day ...

Stay tuned for more (likely slightly more tipsy) posts soon ...

Ciao a tutto! :)
